I like my Ubuntu remix install because I am getting my toes wet in the Linux pool without having to do the full on plunge the way you had to 10 years ago.

I had a RedHat install up for a few hours once. I knew it was lame of me, but I missed having a visual workspace and I couldn’t get the x server to stop hanging… so I went back to Windows. Nowadays, I seriously think Ubuntu is actually easier and simpler (though still different) than Windows.

Someday I will be rich enough to try out an Apple product and see if my opinion changes.

Lejon : Something seems… wrong with that ice cream recipe. I vaguely remember cooking a huge pot of something prior to using it to make the ice cream when I was 7-ish.

I have had a few children’s toys that were literally screwed into the box. I understand making sure things meet marketing approval (bloody morons) and trying to prevent theft, but this practice does seem a bit obsessive.
