It rained last night. Then the weather dipped below the freezing mark. Hubby e-mailed me saying the roads are insanely slippery. We are also suppose to get approx 12 cm of snow later today, which will do a good job of hiding the icy roads.

My hubby thinks I’m weird, I don’t like licorice.
Most people I know dislike -real- licorice. Quite a few people seem fond of the anise flavored knock-offs, like the black twizzler things, but that doesn’t quite count.

I’m ok with red licorice. Although I know it’s not really licorice so I don’t refer to it that way when I say I’m not a licorice fan. Licorice to me is black or brown.
I’m installing Outlook 2007 on my computer.
I feel so current and yet… so delayed at the same time.
An Apple store is opening locally this week, think my phone is going back as the battery life is going down the toilet again.
I have the entire Office 2007 suite on my system. I was taking some courses when it came out so I got it at the student rate which was next to nothing.
Today was bill paying day. I think I need to move to some place warmer. Winter can get pretty expensive on heating and electricity here in Canadaland.
Why does the fan on my laptop keep kicking in? I have an external cooling fan on that the computer sits on. The extent of my computing power at the moment is Deadpan and i-tunes. It shouldn’t be needing that much cooling.

I found the fact they remade the We Are the World song strange. First of all, why a remake? What’s wrong with coming up with a new and original song for the same purpose. Second, while I don’t want to downplay what happened in Hattie, that hasn’t been the only disaster since the first song came out. What about the Tsunami in Sri Lanka? New Orleans? Why not create songs for them?

That table just about defines shiny! I’m always curious as to why there’s not more people writing little apps to create quick’n'dirty NPCs, or roll for damage in Cyberpunk, stuff like that.
(I was thinking coffee and coffee ice cream, but I realize most people don’t actually drink straight black coffee… so the coffee ice cream flavor isn’t such a big departure for them.)

Questors episode 10 is almost finished! I just have to record and add in the credits, and write show notes. This is the first time I’ve recorded a piece of narrative fiction with (almost-)nonstop music behind it, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The guest voice work is excellent, too! I’m so excited about this episode!
